    RECORDING NOTICE


    This event will be recorded via audio/video and photograph for scholarly, archival, and publicity purposes. The election of an attendee to register for the conference constitutes a release and waiver of rights in the capture of the attendee's image, likeness, and/or voice for the exclusive use by the ICDS Conference and the Carnegie Mellon Dalcroze Training Center.

    HOUSING & PARKING REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED.

    Campus housing is available: Saturday, July 22 - Saturday, August 12, 2023

    You will be prompted to select whether or not you would like to register for campus housing AFTER you register for a workshop and/or ICDS6.

    Campus housing accommodations will be in the Resnik House residence hall on Carnegie Mellon's main campus. Most suites contain two double rooms with double accommodations (two beds, one desk & chair, two dressers and two closets), a small single room and a shared suite bathroom. In addition, suites include a sitting room with a microwave/refrigerator combination. Community kitchens and lounges are available in the building. All guests are provided bed linen, a pillow and bath towels. This air-conditioned facility is smoke-free.

    All suites are single gender. Mixed gender couples wishing to room together should explore off-campus lodging options, including a hotel block at the Residence Inn Oakland/University Place or Hilton Garden Inn Pittsburgh University Place.

    Earliest Check-in time: 3:00pm EST on Saturday, July 22nd
    Latest Check-out time: 12:00pm EST on Saturday, August 12th

    • ON-CAMPUS Suite Double Room: US$58.50 per night
      Subject to availability. Air conditioned, suite-style DOUBLE room with double occupancy (2 people per room). Includes a semi-private bathroom with a common living area shared with up to 4 other suite mates.

    • ON-CAMPUS Suite Single Room: US$72.00 per night - SOLD OUT
      Subject to availability. Air conditioned, suite-style SINGLE room with single occupancy (1 person per room). Includes a semi-private bathroom with a common living area shared with up to 4 other suite mates. Single accommodations are very limited.

    • OFF-CAMPUS Hotel Block: US$164.00 per night
      As an alternative lodging option for visitors, a hotel block has been set up at the Residence Inn Pittsburgh/Oakland University Place and the Hilton Garden Inn Pittsburgh University Place (located approximately 1.5 miles from CMU's campus). Please use either the Residence Inn Booking Link or the Hilton Garden Inn Booking Link. if you wish to book your stay off-campus. Reservation deadline is July 1, 2023.



    Housing and parking registration ends on Monday, June 26th at 11:59pm EST. These reservations must be paid in full by this time. Any unpaid housing and/or parking requests after this date will not be accommodated.     PLEASE NOTE: Dormitory Campus Housing is for the purpose of events taking place on campus ONLY, and residential space is limited. If you wish to extend your stay for any reason other than to attend the Dalcroze Summer Workshop OR International Conference of Dalcroze Studies campus events, please plan to book your extended stay through the local Residence Inn Booking Link or Hilton Garden Inn Booking Link.

    Cancellation Policies


    In order to cancel your housing/parking registration, you must notify Conference & Event Services. A refund is not automatically generated when you cancel your registration through this site.

    Housing
    Cancellations must be received two business days prior to your arrival date. Cancellations within two business days of your arrival date will result in a charge of two night's stay.

    Parking
    Parking is non-refundable.

    COVID-19 Requirements

    In accordance with Carnegie Mellon’s COVID-19 mitigation policies, everyone participating in programs, events or accommodations on the university’s campus age 5 and older is expected to be either fully vaccinated* against COVID-19 or, if not fully vaccinated, must have received a negative COVID-19 test result within three days prior to coming on campus.

    For recurring events/programs/accommodations, unvaccinated individuals must be retested on a weekly basis, for each week in which the individual is on campus. *To be considered “fully vaccinated” a person must receive a booster shot within 60 days of becoming eligible for the booster, in addition to the initial dose(s) of vaccine. Your program coordinator will be providing you with an attestation form for you to complete prior to the program. In addition, everyone must adhere to all COVID-19 mitigation requirements while on campus.

    The current COVID-19 mitigation requirements are available at https://www.cmu.edu/coronavirus/visitor-protocol/. The university reserves the right to revise these mitigation requirements, as deemed necessary.
