    Symposium in Public Policy Analysis

    Description:

    We invite you to attend this special event to honor Professor Alfred Blumstein's lifelong contributions to intelligent public policy in criminology and operations research. Professor Blumstein’s research over the past 50 years has covered many aspects of crime and the criminal-justice system, including: crime measurement; modeling of criminal careers; sentencing, analysis of deterrence and incapacitation; prison populations; demographic trends and, drug-enforcement policy analysis.

    We especially encourage Professor Blumstein’s colleagues, past students and friends, along with members of the Carnegie Mellon community to join us for this special celebration.

    Below is a summary of the agenda for the two-day symposium. If you are unable to join us for the full symposium, please feel free to register for a single day or the reception only.
