    Welcome to the housing registration for Center for Causal Modeling & Discovery Summer School

    The Center for Causal Discovery will host its Summer Short Course, Causal Discovery with Graphical Models, and Datathon on June 11-15, 2018 at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA. This intensive five-day course will provide hands-on training in causal modeling and discovery in biomedical research and a datathon working with the tools learned.

    The Summer Short Course is appropriate for graduate students, postdocs, and new and established investigators (both biomedical and data scientists) seeking training in causal discovery. Attendees are expected to have knowledge of basic statistical principles, but no prior graphical modeling experience is needed. Attendees must bring laptops, as each session will have interactive in-class cases, and they may bring their own data to use.

    Housing Details


    On-campus accommodations will be in the Resnik House on Carnegie Mellon's main campus. Check-in time begins at 3pm on Sunday, June 10th and check-out time is no later than 12pm on Friday, June 15th.

    Most suites contain two double rooms, a small single room and a shared suite bathroom. In addition, the area includes a sitting room with a microwave/refrigerator combination. All guests are provided bed linen, a pillow and bath towels. This air-conditioned facility is smoke-free.

    All suites are single gender.

    Housing registration does not include meals.

    PLEASE NOTE: Housing registration ends on Monday, May 21st at 11:59pm EST. These reservations must be paid in full by this time. Any unpaid housing requests after this date will not be accommodated.

    Cancellation Policies


    In order to cancel, you must notify Conference & Event Services. A refund is not automatically generated when you cancel your registration through this site.

    Cancellations must be received two business days prior to your arrival date. Cancellations within two business days of your arrival date will result in a charge of two night's stay.
